Elnet Foundation works with Shamida Ethiopia in initiatives that support vulnerable women and children. Shamida Ethiopia is a non-profit Ethiopian NGO focused on providing holistic care and support for orphans, vulnerable children, families, and the wider community. Its mission is centered on strengthening child protection systems and creating inclusive environments where children are valued, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive.
Through this partnership, Elnet Foundation and Shamida Ethiopia have collaborated in practical support efforts for mothers and children, including the distribution of essential items such as children’s clothing and washable diapers for vulnerable families. This shared work reflects a common commitment to dignity, care, and meaningful support for those facing difficult circumstances.
Together, we believe that compassionate partnership can help restore hope, strengthen communities, and create better opportunities for women and children across Ethiopia.
We work through local NGOs, we give support to small-scale businesses and cooperatives that have a social impact, and we respond through churches and others that are present when disasters strike. We aim at seeing impact in individual’s lives through tailored programmes. Our initiatives are innovative and oftentimes the first of its kind in the country. With the generous contributions and in-house expertise from our supporting partners, we have the flexibility that it takes to pilot new innovative ways of meeting urgent and basic needs among our constituencies.
